How do I use the Translate app?

To translate from the main screen using your voice, follow these steps:

  1. Locate and tap the "Translate" icon.
    • Note: If you are using "Translate" for the first time, follow the instructions on the screen to access the application.
  2. Tap and adjust the language field(s) at the top of your screen.
    • Note: If necessary, tap the "Conversation" icon to view the translation on the screen as you speak.
  3. Tap the "Microphone" icon and speak your question or command into your device using natural language. Some examples include:
    • "What is your most popular dish?"
    • "I'd like a large coffee, please."

To translate using your keyboard, follow these steps:

  1. Locate and tap the "Translate" icon.
  2. Tap and adjust the language field(s) at the top of your screen.
    • Note: If necessary, tap the "Translation" icon at the bottom of the screen to view the translation after you type.
  3. Tap the "Enter text" field to activate the keyboard.
  4. Enter your question or command. Then, tap the "go" key.
