How do I talk to Walmart Family Mobile through Advanced Messaging (RCS)?

You can talk to Walmart Family Mobile’s automated assistant, MARTY, by checking the below steps:


1.    Your Android smartphone has the latest Android software.

2.    You have downloaded the latest version of the Google Messages app.

3.    Make sure your “Chat Features” status says “Connected.” To do this, follow these steps:

  • Open your Google Messages app. 
  • Tap the top right icon with your Google account initials. 
  • Select “Message Settings.” 
  • Select “Chat Features.” 
  • Make sure “Status,” says “Connected.”

4.    Go back to send a message and text MARTY to 6 1 1 6 1 1

  • 6 1 1 6 1 1 may already be pre-loaded as a contact on your Walmart Family Mobile-purchased device as “Customer Support.”

5.    If your Advanced Messaging is provisioned correctly, you will receive a message from MARTY.
